LightScalpel CO2 Laser

The LightScalpel CO2 laser is a device that produces a concentrated beam of light. The highly focused CO2 laser beam vaporizes, cleanly and precisely, while sealing blood vessels at the same time. Years of experience in medicine and oral surgery went into the design of the LightScalpel laser, which was made to provide superior care for patients.

Traditional surgery with a scalpel or scissors can bruise or crush tissue. When we use the LightScalpel CO2 laser, only an intense beam of laser light interacts with the tissue. There is no mechanical trauma to the tissue and the coagulation zone is very narrow (as little as 50 microns – almost the width of a human hair).

The CO2 laser has the unique ability to vaporize or ‘erase’ tissue. The CO2 laser can be used to make incisions, as well as to remove unhealthy tissue. Our laser is so precise that it can selectively remove only a few cells at a time if needed. At the same time, it is powerful enough to de-bulk the largest of tumors.

Ozone Therapy

Dental Ozone is the Latest in Non-Invasive Dentistry

Ozone is an enriched form of oxygen, which can destroy bacteria and viruses while strengthening your immune system to continue fighting these disease-causing agents. Ozone Therapy is safe and effective in the reduction of bacteria from tooth surfaces or around the gum line.

It is significantly better and more effective than chlorine based disinfectants and has the beauty of breakdown into oxygen instead of caustic or harmful substances.

Tekscan Digital Bite Sensor

Tekscan or T-Scan is a valuable tool that aids in diagnosing problems with a person's bite. When a bite is unstable it can cause pain, broken restorations, gum disease, tooth loss, headaches, and TMJ disorder. The T-Scan device uses a very thin digital sensor that the patient bites into. T-Scan can identify both force and timing, two of the most fundamental parameters for measuring occlusion.

Digital Smile Design

Our goal is to give each patient a customized smile plan that dramatically improves your teeth, as well as your self-esteem and quality of life. We want our patients to feel comfortable every step of the way, which is why we offer digital cosmetic imaging. Before you even begin a procedure, we are able to show you an image of your new smile using digital imaging software. This software enables us to alter a photograph of your existing smile and show you your redesigned smile. This is an excellent way to ensure that our patients are happy with their customized smile plan before we begin any treatment. It’s also a great way for patients to share their excitement with their family and friends!

exocad ChairsideCAD

The exocad ChairsideCAD makes the most of our intraoral scanner. We've taken your dental restorations to the next level with exocad’s ChairsideCAD – the intuitive software solution for single-visit restorations producing reliable, highly esthetic restorative designs. We are able to design beautiful and functional dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, copings, veneers, inlays, onlays, pontics, provisionals and dental appliances.

Planscan E4D 3D Same Day Crown

We offer E4D® Technology to provide our patients with Same Day Restorations.

No more messy impression materials or hassle with annoying temporaries! E4D Technology offers our patients the opportunity to have a beautiful restoration designed, fabricated and delivered in a single appointment!
Using, E4D Technology, we are able to take a photo scan of your tooth with a special laser camera that safely captures the anatomy of the prepared tooth and renders it as a 3-dimensional image.

We then customizes your crown, inlay or onlay using your digital “impression” and 3D imaging software.
The E4D milling system employs CAD/CAM technology to shape your restoration from a high-strength, metal-free ceramic or composite block in a shade to match your smile. This eliminates the repeat visit after sending the impression off to a lab, as this is now able to be done while you are in the chair!

Low Dose Digital X-Rays

Dental x-rays (Radiographs) are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. Digital Radiography is a type of X-ray imaging that uses digital X-ray sensors to replace traditional photographic X-ray film, producing enhanced computer images of teeth, gums, and other oral structures and conditions. This allows the doctors to get a much better view of your teeth and any potential dental conditions. The digital imaging software obtains a number of different views of your teeth to gain the best understanding of your situation and develop the most appropriate course of management.

Digital sensors are more responsive than film so that much less radiation is required to produce a digital image.

Panorex Digital X-rays

Much like a panoramic picture, the Panorex X-ray (a full mouth X-ray), provides a full view of your entire oral cavity!

The Panorex X-ray is a single picture of all your teeth and surrounding bones. It provides a 2D panoramic view of your entire mouth rather than just a couple of teeth at a time, an excellent alternative to the tiny pictures we has to piece together to see a complete set of your teeth. What this means to you as a patient is that there is greatly improved information for the doctor and can see much more than with traditional Xrays, thus allowing better diagnosis and treatment to you as the patient.

The Panorex X-ray also exposes parts of your jaw that can’t be seen with traditional dental X-rays.

Moonray Digital Printer

With our Moonray Digital 3D Printer from SprintRay Inc., we have the ability to print models, surgical guides, and other useful tools in our office. This precise, flexible device can improve the quality of dentistry we can offer. For example, we can take digital scans of your smile and print a surgical guide, making procedures like dental implant surgery safer and more accurate.

ORAL3D Printer

ORAL3D enables us to create a three-dimensional model of our patients mouths through the use of Cone Beam Imaging! With this technology our patients can physically visualize hard and soft tissues defects and our surgeons can carefully plan and prepare surgeries with more precision and comfort.

Computer Guided Implant Surgery

We use state-of-the-art technology including Computer Guided Implant Surgery to ensure the optimum results in patient care.

In the past radiographic images used to place implants were two dimensional providing a reasonable estimate of bone height. Often bone width was not determined until the bone was exposed during surgery sometimes resulting in compromised placement of the implant.

Computer Guided Implant Surgery gives very detailed 3-D visualizations and coupled with the appropriate software allows us to place implants with a level of precision that was unattainable several years ago. In addition, the surgical procedures can often be accomplished in a much more conservative procedure which involves greatly reduced discomfort, less treatment time and a more accurate final outcome.

Computer Guided Implant placement is the safest and most precise way to place dental implants.

Laser Dentistry

At Arlington Dental Excellence, we offer laser-based dentistry, which has been a wonderful solution for our patients with severe dental anxiety. This allows us to treat patients safely without drills and scalpels and- in many cases, without anesthesia. We use a laser to cut/vaporize tissue during any surgical and dental procedures.

Laser dentistry uses a gentle spray of water along with laser energy to perform a variety of dental procedures, without pressure, heat, and vibration that come with the drill. We use the laser to sterilize the surgical site and seal off blood vessels, which reduces your risk of excessive bleeding or potential infection. Laser dentistry allows patients to be much more comfortable and relaxed during treatment.
