DENTURES & PARTIALS AT ARLINGTON DENTAL EXCELLENCE

Dentures & Partials

Dentures & Partials

While teeth are meant to last a lifetime, they can become more susceptible to disease, decay, and injury as they age. However, that does not mean you ever have to be without a strong, beautiful smile. With over 38 years of experience in prosthodontics, Dr Layth can provide patients with custom-made, high-quality dentures and partials.

Dentures are the most well-known choice for tooth replacement, and are still a popular choice due to their simplicity, ease of use, and many benefits. Dentures come in full and partial arches to match your needs and are custom-created to fit the size and shape of your smile. Not only do they replace missing teeth, but they also improve the contours of the face and prevent sagging jowls, providing you with a full and beautiful smile.

While traditional dentures require some time to be completed and placed, our dentist can provide immediate dentures following tooth extraction to provide you with a full smile in one visit. Please be aware that immediate dentures will need to be adjusted when your jaw changes during the healing process.

Dentures FAQs

At Arlington Dental Excellence, we understand that getting tooth restoration, such as snap-on dentures, is a big decision. Here are some of the questions we are commonly asked about this procedure:

A: The dentures procedure takes place over the course of a few appointments. First, we’ll take impressions of your gumline and send them to an off-site lab where the first mold will be created. Once we receive this mold, we will inspect it for proper fit and aesthetic appeal. After the adjustments have been made, your final denture will be cast.

A: Dentures are intended to restore full function to your smile. Once you’ve adjusted to your prosthesis, our goal is for you to be able to eat whatever you’d like. After the initial placement, start by consuming only soft foods and slowly work in solid foods as you feel comfortable.

A: Full dentures are used to replace an entire top or bottom row of teeth. If you still have some remaining natural teeth, partial dentures may be sufficient. During your initial consultation, we’ll compare each method and determine the best prosthesis for your dental needs.
